Biography
I am currently a Research Scientist at the Center for Cyber-Physical Systems (C2PS), Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi (2022–present). My research focuses on intelligent and secure wireless communication systems, with particular emphasis on real-time monitoring of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) through the integration of computer vision and remote identification data. I also work on SPDM-based zero-trust protocols for secure chip-to-chip authentication and asynchronous non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA) schemes for reliable, high-throughput communications. Since joining Khalifa University in 2020, I have progressed from Postdoctoral Fellow to Research Scientist, contributing as a Co-Lead and Lead Researcher on multiple funded projects.
Prior to joining Khalifa University, I served as an Assistant Professor at COMSATS University Islamabad, Wah Campus (2014–2021). During this time, I taught undergraduate and postgraduate courses, supervised BS, MS, and PhD students, secured research funding for laboratory development, and led program accreditation activities under the Washington Accord. Earlier in my career, I worked as a Junior Lecturer at Bahria University, Islamabad (2007–2008), where I supported laboratory instruction and development.
Alongside my research, I actively publish in leading IEEE journals and conferences, contribute to competitive research proposals, co-supervise graduate students, and engage in teaching and academic service at Khalifa University.
